About us
Our story so far…
From collector, to artist, to seller…
It was never a planned journey and who knows where we’ll end up, but the story of Flashburn starts with a single person with a passion for playing cards. Andrew Jackman is my name and I’m the artist behind the work you see at Flashburn. I started simply admiring Bicycle playing cards after plenty of long nights playing poker. The linen finish, the back design and the feel of the cards in my hand were somehow appealing to me and I soon found myself collecting playing cards for their artwork. Starting primarily with USPCC decks and expanding from there, my admiration for playing card artwork grew and I wanted to explore how I could take my passion further.
It was then I started to produce playing card art, playing card cases and all sorts of accessories for displaying my collection. This then extended to miniature paper art, including light boxes and silhouette dioramas. Naturally, this progressed to selling my pieces online, along with all the cases and accessories we now have available.
And that’s where we are now. Not only selling playing cards, cases and stands, but producing unique playing card and paper art and sharing the love with the world!
I hope you enjoy the collection.

Not just playing cards
But if you’re looking for quality playing card decks in Australia…
While we sell plenty of decks of playing cards, from Bicycle to Theory11 and a bunch of stuff in between, that wasn’t really the initial intention of Flashburn. We simply fell into selling decks due to the sheer variety and quantity of decks we work with and wanted to pass on these decks to those in Australia who need some quality playing cards or who are avid playing card collectors like myself.
If there’s a particular deck you’re after, please feel free to reach out and we can help you source it.
